Areas of focus include, but are not limited to: asthma; chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis; pulmonary hypertension; cystic fibrosis; lung cancer; respiratory tract disorders; allergic rhinitis and other respiratory allergies; influenza, pneumococcal infection, respiratory syncytial virus and other respiratory infections; and inhalers and other device therapies.
The journal is of interest to a broad audience of pharmaceutical and healthcare professionals and publishes original research, reviews, case reports, and short communications. The journal appeals to a global audience and receives submissions from all over the world.
Moving forward from traditional publishing, Pulmonary Therapy offers a range of additional enhanced features designed to increase visibility, readership, and the educational value of the content. Each paper is accompanied by a bulleted summary slide, giving a time-efficient overview of the content to a wide readership. Articles also have the option to include slide sets, audio slides, videos and video abstracts, and/or animations. All enhanced features are open access and are peer reviewed to the same high standard as the article itself, and the authors retain their copyright.
Pulmonary Therapy publishes supplements and special issues (in English or a local language). Material appropriate for supplements/special issues include: sponsored meeting proceedings, roundtable discussions, workshop reports, case series, and collections of articles on the same topic. All articles are subject to peer review, and must adhere to the ICMJE and GPP policies on acknowledgments/disclosures. Proposals for supplements are welcomed, and should be addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pulmonary Therapy's rapid publication, personalized service, and open access is funded by article processing charges. Current fees are: £250/ €340/ $380 per printed page. Please note, all manuscripts are thoroughly peer reviewed and accepted/rejected based purely on the merit of the content.
